Richard Barker, the founder of Orchid Energy has been in the industry for more than 35 years. He started as an apprentice electrician in his family firm. He first started working in solar systems in 2008. What impressed him about renewable energy was as soon as you connected the inverter to the solar panels, you would see energy being produced. He felt this is what everyone should be doing, producing their own energy. As the cost of energy has sky rocketed in recent years, Orchid Energy was born to help homeowners to produce over 70% of their own renewable energy, drastically reduce their household bills, reduce reliance on fossil fuels and help the environment. With the government moving towards electric vehicles in the future, having a solar system with battery storage to charge your car will further help reduce impact on the environment, something we are passionate about here at Orchid Energy.
At Orchid Energy, our passion is helping homes and businesses thrive through clean, intelligent energy. We want to see a more sustainable future for generations to come, and are actively doing our part to ensure that.
